General Parking Information

Parking administration and enforcement is managed by Police Services located at the west entrance to the Rocklin Campus.  Except when parked in a 30-minute zone, every vehicle using the Rocklin Campus or Nevada County Campus parking facilities must display a valid parking permit, clearly visible through the front windshield of the vehicle, or a valid DMV disabled person license plate or placard.

Semester parking permits may be purchased from the Cashier window in the Winstead Building, weekdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays or from Police Services at the Rocklin Campus from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Daily permits are available for $1.00 per day at permit dispensers located in parking lots.  All dispensers will accept coins or one dollar bills.

Carpool permits are available at a reduced fee for those who regularly carpool to and from Sierra College with one or more persons.  Applications for carpool permits are available at Police Services at the Rocklin Campus or the Admissions Office at the Nevada County Campus.

Parking permits are not transferable.  Student parking permits are not valid in areas reserved for staff.  A parking permit does not guarantee that a parking space will be available.  Parking citations will be issued to vehicles without permits.   For further information regarding parking fees, rules, or refunds, contact the Police Services District Office at (916) 781-0570.
